Jessie Home Safe & Sound

It is now 6:54 AM. We just got back from droping Josh off at BWI. His plane is leaving right now...he just called me...He is finally headed home. We had a wonderful visit. His flight was supposed to be in at 2:00 our time yesterday, it was pushed back to 9:00 PM...so I was taking a nap when he called at 4:40. They had just landed. cyndy Took the 3 Amigo's to the car wash for a bth

Today was another nice day so Leean came with her dog "Liza" A great Dane and we walked the dogs to the local car wash to give them all a much needed bath. Because the dog bath area has no wheelchair access. Leeann was left to bath the four dogs. It worked really well. First their was a warm water shampoo, then a warm water clear runse, the a warm water conditioner. Pam Ortho Vet Visit

We FINALLY had our appointment with Dr. Stallings, an Orthopedic Specialist in Virginia Beach. It went pretty much the way we had figured it would. Dr Stallings checked her drawer sign: positive. Tibial thrust test: positive. Ivy was diagnosed with a CCL rupture in the right leg. He recommended a TPLO, which we agreed to. They sedated her for a series of x-rays. The practice does this digitally, which was very cool. Ivy came out of the x-rays pretty much a drunk dog. She slept all the way home a… Continue

Pam Ivy blows out the other knee

vy was 5 months post TPLO, loving life again. She had been released by Dr Pernell to start getting her normal Lab loving life back. We had been increasing her walks and she had just started short swims. A weekend trip to Blacksburg to visit our daughter, ended that. We had been there maybe 3 minutes when Ivy ran up a hill, yelped in pain, and came up on three legs! We called our vet in Chesapeake to get a referral to a specialist and left the next day. Pam My Farting Flip-flops

It's hard to believe but I have a pair of flip-flops make this fartlike noise when I walk in them. I walk across a room....."brrraaammmp." It is a subtle sound, but definitely fartlike. They are cute, sparkly, black flip-flops that go so well with all things black. I have bunions (thanks, Mom) on both big toes, so flip-flops are so comfortable on me and I love wearing them.
